Ngaio School

Our Place to Learn

Board of Trustees Members

Liz Millar, Principal

I have been principal of Ngaio School since 2008.  Ngaio School is a special school as it is quite literally situated in the heart of the Ngaio community. I am privileged to work with a dynamic teaching staff, a fabulous committed community and a dedicated Board of Trustees.
Prior to principalship at Ngaio SchooI I was the Director of the NZ Principal Leadership Centre at Massey University.  In 2001-2002 I was a curriculum facilitator in the Ministry of Education and involved in the development of the First Time Principals’ Curriculum and the design of the First Time Principals’ Programme. During my career in education I have held principal positions at Waterloo School, Northland School and Hataitai School.  I have been fortunate to experience different education roles within and outside of education.

In the weekend I can often be seen walking or attending art exhibitions and auctions.
